OUR ENSEMBLE
Ensemble of Song and Dance State Academic Ensemble ‘Aphkhazeti’ was founded in 1931 in the city of Sukhumi. .
As a result of the current events in Abkhazia, the ensemble continued its activities in Tbilisi.
The purpose of the ensemble is to create an independent, original folk creative line and preserve the historical connection with Abkhazia..

Bachana Chanturia was invited as the artistic director of the ensemble from 2021.
The lineup of artists was renewed and a new conceptual folk program "Choreonicon" was created.
